Women's Basketball moves up to No. 9 in sixth weekly D3Hoops.com poll; No. 12 in USA Today Sports Coaches Poll

ADA — The Ohio Northern women's basketball team moved up three more spots to a season-high ranking of No. 9 in the sixth weekly D3hoops.com poll and also is ranked No. 12 in the lateest USA Today Sports Coaches Poll.
The Polar Bears received 412 votes in the poll, 76 more than the 336 they received in last week's poll.
DePauw (Ind.) stayed at the top of the poll with 623 points and 24 of the 25 first place votes, Calvin (Mich) is ranked second with 574 points and the remaining first place vote and Washington (Mo.) is third with 567 points.
ONU was ranked No. 12 in last week's poll, was No. 15 in the fourth poll, was No. 17 in the third poll, was No. 20 in the second poll and was No. 24 in the first poll.
In the USA Today Sports Poll, ONU received 110 points, whic is 57 more votes than they received in the previous poll.
DePauw (Ind.) garnered in all eight first place votes and received 200 points, Calvin (Mich.) is second with 191 and St. Thomas (Minn.) is third with 183 points.
Ohio Northern has won 11 games in a row and has an overall record of 12-1 and is in first place in the Ohio Athletic Conference with a 6-0 mark.
The Polar Bears will be in action again on Wednesday when they travel to Heidelberg for a 7:30 pm contest.
