FINDLAY — The Ohio Northern softball team dropped a doubleheader to No. 18-ranked Mount Union on Saturday afternoon on the team's annual Strike Out Cancer day. The Polar Bears fell 3-0 in the opener and dropped the nightcap 10-6.
The Basics
- Records: Ohio Northern (8-18 Overall, 2-6 OAC), #18 Mount Union (19-5 Overall, 9-1 OAC).
- Venue: Anderson Field — Findlay, Ohio.
Game 1 — L, 0-3
- The game remained scoreless until the top of the fourth when Mount Union scored a run to get on the board.
- The Purple Raiders then scored two more runs in the top of the fifth.
- Freshman Brooklyn Osterloh (Minster) (1-7) pitched a complete game with two strikeouts.
