Softball to open 2026 season March 7-15 with annual Spring Break trip to Florida

ADA — The Ohio Northern softball team will open its 59th season March 7-15 with their annual Spring Break trip to Florida under second-year head coach Summer Collins.
The 10-to-12 game Spring Break schedule will be announced at a later date.
ONU will open its home schedule on March 20 with a doubleheader against Hope (Mich.) at Durbin-Hileman Stadium. They will then host Ohio Wesleyan and Wittenberg on March 22.
Northern's Ohio Athletic Conference opener is at Marietta on March 28.
Trine (Ind.), Muskingum, Mount Union, Wilmington, Baldwin Wallace, and Wooster will all come to Durbin-Hileman Stadium for double headers.
The 4-team, double-elimination OAC Tournament is slated for May 7-9 at the home of the regular season champion.
In 2025, the Polar Bears went 20-23, finished 12-6 in the OAC and reached the semifinals of the OAC Tournament.
