Lahti, Lightel, and Asmus earn All-Region honors in Softball

ADA — Senior Amanda Lahti, sophomore Kirsten Lightel and freshman Kylie Asmus all earned NFCA All-Central Region honors announced Monday.
Lahti was named Second Team utility player, while Lightel also earned Second Team honors as a pitcher and Asmus received Third Team accolades.
Lahti led the Polar Bears with 43 RBIs and two triples. The senior recorded 46 hits with 23 runs scored, ranking her third in the Ohio Athletic Conference.
She earned her first All-Region honor.
Lightel led ONU in the circle last season collecting a team-high 15 wins. The sophomore posted a 1.95 ERA, 122 strikeouts through 147.1 innings of work.
She earns her second All-Central Region honor.
Asmus led Northern at the dish recording a team-high 62 hits and 13 doubles. The freshman also led the team in homeruns (4), slugging percentage (.610), and batting average (.425).
The freshman garners her first All-Central Region honor.
The Polar Bears concluded the season 24-19 overall and second in the OAC with a 11-7 mark.
