Four named Academic All-Ohio in Softball

ADA — Four Ohio Northern student/athletes were named Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference in softball for 2015-16.
Senior Amanda Lahti, sophomores Leanna Henry, Gia Saturday, and Miranda Huddle all received the honor.
The award winners must be a sophomore or higher in class standing, maintain varsity status and have a cumulative grade-point- average of at least 3.50.
Lahti earns her second Academic All-OAC honor.
The social studies major led the team last season with 43 RBIs, recording 46 hits and 23 runs. She was named Honorable Mention All-OAC and a member of the 2016 All-OAC Tournament Team.
Henry, a psychology major, garners her first career Academic All-OAC accolade.
The West Jefferson native appeared in 27 games last season for ONU, recording six hits and five RBIs.
Saturday earns her first Academic All-OAC honor.
The mathematical statistics major recorded 21 hits, scoring 10 runs. She appeared in 32 games making 69 plate appearances.
Huddle appeared in 36 games last season, posting nine RBIs on 12 hits and 10 runs.
The Versailles native earns her first Academic All-OAC accolade.
The Polar Bears finished 24-19 overall, 11-7 OAC under third-year head coach Ali Hess.
