Weekend Preview: The Polar Bears will open the 2016 season Friday morning at the National Training center in Clermont Fla. where they wil take on Houghton (N.Y.) at 9 am, followed by Concordia M-'head at 11 am ... The Polar Bears then return to action Saturday taking on Augustana (Ill.) at 9 am and Johnson St. (Va.) at 11 am ... Northern will round out the weekend facing off aganist Neumann (Pa.) at 9 am, followed by Alma (Mich.) at 11 am ... Ohio Northern returns a veteran squad in 2016, returning top pitcher sophomore Kirsten Lightel and All-OAC second baseman sophomore Jenna Hollar ... The Polar Bears also return starting infielders, sophomore Gia Saturday, senior catcher Amanda Lahti and third baseman sophomore Miranda Huddle ... In the outfield, Northern will look to be led by sophomore Anna Martin.
