Six Polar Bears named to 2025-26 Men's Track and Field and Cross Country Academic All-District Teams by College Sports Communicators

ADA — Ohio Northern senior Jacob Clouse (Alvada/New Riegel), juniors Grant Conn (Medina/Buckeye Senior) and Jacob Wakefield (Wooster/Northwestern), and sophomores Dudley Bravard (Beavercreek), Asu Pelima (Euclid/Villa Angela-Saint Joseph), and Chase Witte (Gibsonburg) have each been named to the 2025-26 Men's Track and Field and Cross Country Academic All-District Team by College Sports Communicators.
Clouse, Bravard, and Pelima are all members of both the cross country and track & field teams at ONU.
To be eligible for Academic All-District honors, each student-athlete must have a GPA of at least 3.50 and must have posted an individual top 50 mark in the region in an individual event (XC, indoor or outdoor).
Clouse is a three-time Academic All-District and three-time Academic All-OAC honoree and is majoring in mechanical engineering.
He earned All-Region honors with a 16th place finish at the South Region Showdown this fall and was First Team All-OAC in cross country with a 2nd place finish at the OAC Championships.
In track season, he earned 6 top-5 event finishes, including winning the 1500m run at the home Mike Becraft Invitational in April.
Conn, a technology education major, is a first-time Academic All-District and a two-time Academic All-Conference honoree.
He is a three-time member of All-OAC teams: the indoor distance medley relay in 2025, the outdoor 4x400m relay in 2024, and the outdoor 4x400 in 2026.
Wakefield, a civil engineering major, is a first-time Academic All-District selection and a first-time Academic All-OAC honoree.
He won the indoor high jump OAC Championship this season and was 5th at the All-Ohio meet. He ranked 41st in the event in the region.
Bravard is now a first-time Academic All-District and Academic All-Conference award winner.
The civil engineering major took first team All-OAC honors this season in both the indoor and outdoor 5000m run.
Pelima is now a first-time Academic All-District and Academic All-Conference award winner.
The accounting major earned first team All-OAC honors in 3 outdoor events in 2026: the 800m run, the 4x400 relay, and the 4x800 relay. He was also first team All-OAC in the indoor 4x400 and the DMR.
Witte, a mechanical engineering major, is a first-time Academic All-District and Academic All-OAC honoree.
He earned second team All-OAC honors in outdoor pole vault this season.
