Boothby earns All-OAC honors in five events as Men's Track and Field finishes second at OAC Championships

NEW CONCORD - Junior C.J. Boothby (Milford/Clermont Northeastern) earned All-Conference honors in five events to lead the Ohio Northern men's outdoor track & field team to a second place finish at the 2026 OAC Championships on Thursday and Friday.
The Basics
- Ohio Northern finished second of 9 teams with 181 points.
- Record: Ohio Northern (39-14 Overall).
- Mount Union won the team title with 254 points, Baldwin Wallace was third with 154 points and Otterbein was fourth with 97 points.
- Venue: Jackson Family Track - New Concord, Ohio.
ONU Individuals
- Boothby had three All-OAC finishes on Friday, placing second in the 100-meter dash in :10.57 and in the 200 in :21.58 and as part of ONU's second place 4x100 relay team.
- He joined senior Brett Greer (Mentor), sophomore Isen Schafer (Harrod/Allen East), freshman Owen Fockler (Dennison/Indian Valley) to finish second in the 4x100 in :41.60
- On Thursday, he won the javelin with a toss of 57.74 meters and was All-OAC in the long jump with a third place finish in 6.92 meters.
- Junior Oliver Hendricks (Vandalia/Butler) was All-OAC in three events. He was second in the 800 in 1:54.53, was third in the 1500 in 3:54.99 and was on Thursday's 4x800 relay team that finished second.
- Senior Jacob Clouse (Alvada/New Riegel) was third in the 5,000 in 15:01.07 to earn All-Conference kudos.
- Freshman Luke Stouffer (Payne/Wayne Trace) was third in the shot put with a heave of 15.40 meters to earn an All-OAC award.
- Senior Zach O'Neill (Holland/Maumee Valley Country Day), junior Grant Conn (Medina/Buckeye Senior), sophomore Asu Pelima (Euclid/Villa Angela-Saint Joseph) and freshman Cale Wilson (Clarksville/Clinton-Massie) earned All-Conference honors in the 4x400 relay with a third place finish in 3:16.76.
Notables
- The meet consisted of 21 events - 7 field events, 11 running events, and 3 relays.
- The top three finishers in each event earned All-Conference honors.
- Boothby finished the 200 in :58, which moves him into fourth place all-time in ONU history.
- The Ohio Northern coaching staff were named the OAC Outdoor Men's Staff of the Year and Women's Outdoor Staff of the Year.
- On Thursday, senior Evan Gomez (Farmington, N.M.) won the discus.
- Head Coach Jason Maus is in his 17th year at Ohio Northern and is 618-175-3 in men's indoor track and field for a winning percentage of .775. He is ONU's all-time winningest coach in track and field history.
