Three compete as Men's Outdoor Track and Field season gets underway at WashU Distance Carnival in St. Louis

ST. LOUIS, Mo. — Senior Jacob Clouse (Alvada/New Riegel), junior Ryan Montross (Perrysburg) and freshman Carson Brown (Botkins) competed at the Washington (Mo.) Distance Carnival in St. Louis to kick off the Men's outdoor track & field season on Friday.

Top ONU Performers

• Clouse finished the 10000-meter run in a career-best 31:48.89.
• Brown was 199th out of 266 in the 5000 in 15:32.97.
• Montross was 255th out of 266 in the 5000 in 15:59.23.

Notables

• The two-day event consisted of 5 distance events: the 5000m, 10000m, 3000m steeple chase, 800m, and 1500m.
• Clouse is now 10th all-time in ONU history with his 31:48.89 in the 10k.
• Head Coach Jason Maus is in his 17th year at Ohio Northern and is 743-172 in men's indoor track and field for a winning percentage of .812. He is ONU's all-time winningest coach in track and field history.
