Schweller, Boothby, Baker-Schlendering qualify for 2026 NCAA III Indoor Track and Field Championships

ADA — Senior All-American Claire Schweller (Paulding), junior C.J. Boothby (Milford/Clermont Northeastern) and sophomore Avery Baker-Schlendering (Freeport, Maine) have qualified for the 2026 NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships on Friday and Saturday at the Birmingham SportsPlex in Birmingham, Ala.
Schweller is making her fifth NCAA III Championships appearance in the pole vault.
She is tied for seventh nationally with a career-best 3.97 meters.
Schweller earned All-America honors at the 2024 NCAA Outdoor Championships. She also finished ninth indoors in 2024 and 2025 and outdoors in 2025.
She is a four-time OAC Champion in the event and will compete on Friday at 11 am (CST).
Boothby qualified in the 60-meter dash and enters the meet tied for 10th nationally with a school and OAC record 6.75 seconds.
He is a 5-time school record holder and is making his first appearance at the NCAA III Championships.
Boothby is also a 4-time OAC Champion.
He will compete in the prelims on Friday at 2:15 pm (CST), with the top eight advancing to the finals on Saturday at 11:10 am (CST).
Baker-Schlendering cleared an ONU and OAC record height of 1.79 meters to win the OAC title and qualify for the NCAAs in high jump.
She is making her first NCAA Championships appearance and is seeded second nationally in the field of 20. She will compete on Saturday at 12:30 pm (CST).
