Boothby wins 60 dash under national spotlight as Men's Indoor Track and Field competes at the Indy Fairgrounds Invitational (Ind.)

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Junior C.J. Boothby (Milford/Clermont Northeastern) stood out once again as the Men's Indoor Track & Field team took its talents to the national stage, competing at the Indy Fairgrounds Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
The Basics

- Record: Ohio Northern (22-4 Overall).
- This event took place on a widespread scale; teams involved include Power 5 Division I schools, Division II schools, and Division III schools.

Top ONU Performers
- Boothby finished 1st in the 60-meter dash on Friday in 6.82 seconds.
- Senior Connor Robbins (Marion/River Valley) was 11th in the weight throw on Friday with a heave of 15.92 meters, and was 7th in the shot put on Saturday, throwing 13.93 meters.
- Freshman Brady Giesige (Napoleon/Liberty Center) took 12th in the weight throw on Friday at 14.94 meters, and took 6th in shot put on Saturday at 14.49 meters.
- Freshman Cale Wilson (Clarksville/Clinton-Massie) finished 11th in the 400 on Friday in :50.18 and he finished 10th in the 200m dash on Saturday in :22.14.
- Senior Jacob Clouse (Alvada/New Riegel) took 12th in the mile in 4:20.08.
- Junior Oliver Hendricks (Vandalia/Butler) was 19th in the mile in 4:24.65.
- Sophomore Asu Pelima (Euclid/Villa Angela-Saint Joseph) took 19th in the 800 in 1:58.40.

- Across both days, the meet consisted of 17 men's events with 6 field events, 9 running events, and 2 relays.
- Boothby is cuirrently ranked 12th nationally in the 60 with a season-best :06.80.
- Wilson's time of :22.14 in the 200 ties him for the 3rd best in ONU history.
- He also moves into 8th place in the 400 with his :50.18 effort.
- Clouse is now 9th all-time at ONU with his 4;20.08 in the mile.
- The team is a split-squad this weekend, as they also competed Friday at the Trine (Ind.) Invitational.
- Head Coach Jason Maus is in his 17th year at Ohio Northern and is 723-169 in men's indoor track and field for a winning percentage of .809. He is ONU's all-time winningest coach in track and field history.
