Boothby wins 100 title as Men's Track and Field finishes fifth at OAC Outdoor Championships

WILMINGTON — Sophomore C.J. Boothby (Milford/Clermont Northeastern) won the 100-meter dash to lead the Ohio Northern men's track and field team to a fifth place finish at the 2025 Ohio Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships on a wet and stormy Friday.

- Ohio Northern finished fifth of 10 teams with 83 points.
- Mount Union won the team title with 210 points, Baldwin Wallace was second with 143 and John Carroll was third with 135.

- Fifth-year senior Trey Myers (Dayton/Chaminade-Julienne) was All-OAC in the 800 in 1:53.19, finishing second.
- The 4x400 relay team of senior Ross Schlatter (Curtice/Genoa), junior Zach O'Neill (Holland/Maumee Valley Country Day), freshman Asu Pelima (Euclid/Villa Angela-Saint Joseph) and Myers earned All-OAC accolades with a second place finish in 3:16.77.
- Freshman Luke Lazarich (Celina) was fifth in the 400 hurdles in :55.67 and was sixth in the 110 hurdles in :16.00.
- Senior Ryan Massie (Beavercreek) was sixth in the 5000 in 14:58.33.
- Sophomore Carter Byers (Lewis Center/Olentangy Orange) was seventh in the 400 hurdles in :57.53.
- Sophomore J.D. Dillman (Bethel) was seventh in the triple jump at 13.60 meters.
- Sophomore Chaz Miller (New Lebanon/Dixie) was seventh in the 110 hurdles in :16.03.
- Junior Connor Robbins (Marion/River Valley) was eighth in the shot put at 14.13 meters.
Top ONU Performers - Day 1
- Boothby earned All-Conference honors in the javelin, finishing second with a toss of 54.85 meters.
- Junior Evan Gomez (Farmington, N.M.) earned All-OAC recognition in the discus, finishing third at 43.47 meters.
- Myers, Pelima, senior Bo Little (Washington Court House/Miami Trace) and sophomore Oliver Hendricks (Vandalia/Butler) earned All-Conference honors in the 4x800 relay by finishing third in 7:43.28.
- Sophomore Grant Butler (Marion/River Valley) was fourth in the long jump at 6.59 meters.
- Freshman Dylan Dowell (Mount Vernon) was fifth in the long jump at 6.51 meters.
- Sophomore Orion Gonzalez (Fostoria/St. John's Jesuit) was seventh at 4.43 meters.
- Freshman Gavin Miller (Johnson City, Tenn./Science Hill) was eighth in the high jump, clearing 1.91 meters.
