Women's Track and Field selected to finish second, Men picked third in OAC Preseason Coaches Polls

ADA — The Ohio Northern women's indoor track and field team was picked to finish second and men were selected to finish third in the 2025 Ohio Athletic Conference Coaches Preseason Polls, the league announced on Friday.
The Polar Bears, under 16th-year head coach Jason Maus, received 74 points and three first-place votes in the women's poll.
Defending champion Mount Union was picked to win the league with 79 points and the remaining seven first-place votes.
John Carroll was picked third with 64 points, and Baldwin Wallace was picked fourth with 55 points.
In the men's poll, Northern received 66 points to finish third.
Mount Union was picked to repeat as champions with 81 points and nine first place votes.
John Carroll was picked second with 71 points and the final first place vote. Baldwin Wallace was picked fourth with 56 points and Otterbein was picked fifth with 51 points.
Northern opened its 2025 season with a small group of student-athletes competing at the Findlay Oiler Opener on Dec. 6.
The Polar Bears return to action on Jan. 17 hosting the Rob and Patty Lydic Invitational at the ONU Sports Center.
