Track and Field teams to open 2024-25 season Dec. 6-7 at Findlay Oiler Opener

ADA — The Ohio Northern men's and women's track and field teams will open their 2024-25 indoor seasons at the Findlay Oiler Opener Dec. 6-7 under 16th-year head coach Jason Maus.
The Polar Bears will then host the Rob and Patty Lydic Invitational on Jan. 17 and the annual Joe Banks Invitational on Jan. 31. Both meets will be held at the ONU Sports Center.
Northern will also compete at Muskingum, Ashland, Grand Valley State (Mich.), the All-Ohio at Otterbein and at Wittenberg prior to hosting the Ohio Athletic Conference Indoor Championships Feb. 28-March 1 at Muskingum.
Individual athletes will then compete for season-best marks at home at the Polar Bear Final Qualifier on March 7-8, hoping to secure a bid to the 2025 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships in Rochester, N.Y., March 14-15.
The Polar Bears are scheduled to kick off the 2025 outdoor season at Heidelberg on March 29.
Northern will also travel to Manchester (Ind.), Bucknell, the All-Ohio Championships at Ohio Wesleyan and the Ashland Open.
Ohio Northern rounds out its home slate on April 18-19 by hosting the annual Mike Becraft Invitational.
The 2025 OAC Outdoor Championships are May 2-3 at Wilmington.
The NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships are in Geneva, Ohio, on May 22-24.
