4x400 relay team sets school record to lead Men's Outdoor Track and Field at Mount Union Final Qualifier

ALLIANCE — Ohio Northern's 4x400 meter relay team set a school record and likely earned a spot at next week's NCAA III Championships to lead the men outdoor team at the Mount Union Last Chance meet on Thursday.

Top ONU Performers
- Senior Hunter Kesler (Paulding), junior Ross Schlatter (Curtice/Genoa), senior Trey Myers (DaytonChaminade-Julienne) and junior Jordan Dean (Cleveland/Villa Angela-Saint Joseph) broke the school record in the 4x400 relay in 3:12.41.
- Myers also won the 800 in 1:51.41.
- Senior Keegan Digby (Bowling Green/Otsego) was third in the shot put at 16.92 meters and was 12th in the hammer at 48.53m.
- Senior Tommy Vetrovsky (Curtice/Genoa) was ninth in the hammer at 52.20m, was 10th in the shot at 13.16m and was 11th in the discus at 40.25m.
- Northern's 4x100 relay team of Kesler, sophomore Brett Greer (Mentor), junior Tyrese Barker (Columbus/Bishop Hartley) and freshman C.J. Boothby (Milford/Clermont Northeastern) was third in :41.10.

- The 4x400 relay squad moved into 14th place nationally and likely clinched a spot in next week's NCAA III Championships meet.
- Northern's 4x100 relay squad is ranked 11th nationally with a season-best time of :40.52.
- Digby is fifth in the shot put nationally at 17.43m this spring.
- Dean ranks third nationally in the 400 at :46.47.
