Saturday's Meet: The Ohio Northern men's indoor track and field team travels to New Concord on Saturday to compete in the Muskingum Invitational … This marks the third meet that Muskingum has hosted this season … Field events begin at 11 a.m., and running events begin at 12 p.m. … The meet is being held in Muskingum's Bullock Health and Wellness Complex, which opened on Sept. 17, 2022, and hosted the school's first-ever indoor track meet on Jan. 14, 2023 … Tickets are $8 for adults and $6 for students … ONU is ranked No. 16 in the Great Lakes Region in the Week 1 USTFCCCA poll, which was released on Monday … Northern is coming off a first-place finish in the six-team Larry Cole Invitational home meet on Friday … The Polar Bears scored 242 points with Adrian (Mich.) placing second with 79 points and Manchester (Ind.) placing third with 73 points … Junior Keegan Digby broke the school record in the shot put and won the weight throw en route to being named Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Field Athlete of the Week … Digby broke the previous school record of 15.92 meters in the indoor shot put with a distance of 16.26 meters … His previous best of 15.64 meters ranked second in school history … Digby's mark of 16.26 meters currently ranks fourth nationally in Division III this season … Digby now owns the school record in both the indoor and outdoor shot put, as he set the new outdoor record of 16.38 meters at last season's NCAA Championships en route to earning All-American status … Digby's winning mark in the weight throw on Friday was a personal-best and meet-record 16.80 meters, which is tied for fifth all-time at ONU … The Polar Bears posted first-place finishes in five other events … Sophomore Jordan Dean won the 400 meters in a meet-record time of :50.32 … Sophomore Thomas Masterson won the 3,000 meters in a meet-record time of 8:47.21 … Freshman Brett Greer won the 60 meters in :07.11, senior Brooks Blakeley won the 1,000 meters in 2:43.13, and senior Ollie Jacobs won the 200 meters in :23.13 … The Polar Bears also posted nine second-place finishes.
