Freshman Keegan Digby sweeps hammer throw, shot put to lead Men's Outdoor Track and Field to victory at BW OAC Tune-Up meet

BEREA — Freshman Keegan Digby (Bowling Green/Otsego) swept the hammer throw and the shot put to lead the Ohio Northern men's track & field to the team title at the Baldwin Wallace OAC Tune-Up meet title on Friday at Finnie Stadium.
The Polar Bears (34-7 overall) won the the team title with 152.5 points. John Carroll was second with 128 points, Mount Union was third with 125 points and Otterbein was fourth with 104 points.
Digby won the hammer with a toss of 51.00 meters and won the shot with a heave of 15.60 meters.
Junior Andrew Buderer (Oak Harbor) won the pole vault by clearing 4.79 meters, which is .06 of a meter better then his previous season-best of 4.73, that had him ranked 15th nationally in the event entering the meet.
Freshman Aaron Guzman (Lebanon) won the 800 in 2:01.71.
Senior Nate Dean (Euclid/Villa Angela-Saint Joseph) was second in the 100 in :10.83 and senior Colin McCullough (Galion) was second in the 400 hurdles in :56.31.
Junior Luke Shellhaas (Greenville/Versailles) was second in the pole vault by clearing 4.34 meters.
Senior Owen Lloyd (Colfax, Ind./Clinton Prairie) and senior Cade Saunders (Marysville) finished 2-3 in the high jump by clearing 1.80 and 1.75 meters, respectively.
Senior Jack Lehr (York, Pa./Dallastown) had a pair of third place finishes in the throwing events. He was third in the discus (42.63 meters) and the shot (12.95 meters).
Senior Alex Sube (Wadsworth/Highland) finished third in the hammer throw with a toss of 48.37 meters
Senior Dylan McKean (Warren/Champion) finished in third place in the 800 in 2:04.28.
The Polar Bears will return to action Thursday and Friday at the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships at Heidelberg.
