Saturday's Meet: The Ohio Northern women's track and field team will continue its 2021 outdoor season on Saturday by hosting the Polar Bear Invitational at Kerscher Stadium ... Wilmington, Heidelberg, Capital and Otterbein are slated to join Ohio Northern with field events starting at 11 am and running events at Noon ... The top 6 places will score points in the team standings (10-8-6-4-2-1) ... The Polar Bears are coming off avictory at the 5-team Otterbein April Fools Invitational last Saturday ... Junior Nate Dean won three events to lead Ohio Northern ... Dean swept the 100 and 200-meter dashes, winning in :10.96 and :22.02, respectively ... He also joined with sophomore Brandon Berry, senior Jaymar Hines and sophomore Vini Souza to win the 4x100-meter relay in :43.17 ... Senior Jack Lehr won the discus with a toss of 43.42 meters and freshman Trey Myers won the 800 in 1:57.43 ... Senior Owen Lloyd was second in the 110 hurdles in :15.93, senior Colin McCullough was second in the 400 hurdles in :55.39 and junior Luke Shellhaas was second in the pole vault by clearing 4.35 meters ... Souza also finished second in the 100 in :11.35.
