Sunday's Meet: The Ohio Northern men's indoor track and field team will continue its 2021 season on Sunday when they travel to Capital for the Rick Meindel Invitational ... The meet will be a tri-meet with ONU, CU and Wilmington ... The Polar Bears are ranked No. 15 nationally in the fourth weekly USTFCCCA power rankings this week ... Northern is coming off a second place finish at the 10-team OAC Elite Meet last Sunday ... The Polar Bears got a pair of victories from junior Nate Dean, who won the 200-meter dash in :22.47 and was on the winning 4x200 relay team ... Senior Owen Lloyd won the 60-meter hurdles in 8.56 seconds, leading a 1-5-7 ONU finish in the event ... Lloyd was also eighth in the high jump by clearing 1.86 meters ... Junior Andrew Buderer won the pole vault by clearing 4.70 meters to remain undefeated on the season with victories in all four meets ... He was named the OAC Men's Field Athlete of the Week for his efforts ... Northern opened the meet by winning the 4x200 relay as sophomore Hunter Kesler, Dean, sophomore Branden Kudlubowski and sophomore Brandon Berry finished in 1:32.93 ... The distance medley relay team of senior Dylan McKean , sophomore Vini Souza, senior Jackson Brandstaetter and freshman Ian Ackenhausen won in 11:00.15 ... Senior Sam Krabacher was second in the 800 in 1:56.11 and freshmen Keegan Digby placed second in the shot put with a toss of 14.81 meters ... Buderer and junior Luke Shellhaas are 1-2 in the OAC in the pole vault with season-best efforts of 4.70 and 4.50 meters, respectively ... Buderer is ranked 5th and Shellhaas is 11th nationally in the event ... Lloyd ranks second in the OAC in the 60 hurdles in :08.56 ... Digby ranks second in the OACthe shot put (14.81m) and is third in the weight throw (16.40m) ... He is sixth nationally in the weight throw and is ninth nationally in the shot ... Krabacher is second in the OAC in the 800 meters (1:56.11).
