Sunday's Meet: The Ohio Northern men's indoor track and field team will continue its 2021 season on Sunday when they travel Otterbein and Capital for the OAC Elite Meet ... All 10 OAC schools are expected to compete ... Otterbein will host a majority of the events, with all running events and all jumping events except pole vault will be at the Clements Center with running events starting at 11 am and rthe field events starting at 11:30 am ... Capital will host all of the throwing events and the pole vault, beginning at 1 pm ... The Polar Bears are ranked No. 19 nationally in the third weekly USTFCCCA power rankings this week ... Northern is coming off a second place finish at the 4-team Mount Union Wuske Invitational last Saturday ... Senior Owen Lloyd won the 60 meter hurdles in 8.60 seconds and junior Andrew Buderer won the pole vault with a height of 4.66 meters to lead ONU ... The distance medley relay team of sophomore Breydan Hann, sophomore Brooks Blakeley, junior Patrick Baker, and sophomore Billy Driemeyer won in 11:03.63 ... Buderer and junior Luke Shellhaas are 1-2 in the OAC in the pole vault with season-best efforts of 4.66 and 4.40 meters, respectively ... Buderer is ranked third and Shellhaas is 12th nationally in the event ... Lloyd ranks second in the OAC in the 60 hurdles in :08.60 ... Freshman Keegan Digby ranks second in the OAC in the weight throw (16.40m) and is third in thre shot put (14.40m) ... He is sixth nationally in the weight throw and is ninth nationally in the shot ... Junior Nate Dean is ranked second in the league and 12th nationally in the 400-meter dash (:50.78) ... Senior Patrick Baker is third in the 3000 meters.
Head Coach Jason Maus: Maus is in his 11th season as the head men's track and field coach at ONU … He owns a 527-137 overall record indoors, a .794 winning percentage.
