Friday's Preview: The Polar Bears kick off the 2018 outdoor campaign on Friday afternoon as they compete in the Indiana Wesleyan Polar Bear Invitational ... The women's 4x100-meter relay will be the first event and will kick off 1 p.m., followed by the men's 4x100-meter relay at 1:05 p.m. ... Field events will begin at 1 p.m. with the women's high jump ... The Polar Bears kickoff the outdoor season after seeing two athletes earn All-America honors and a national title at the 2018 NCAA Div. III Indoor National Championships ... Senior Matt Molinaro won his first career national title in the 800-meter run in a photo finish to claim All-America honors and his first national title ... Junior Ian McVey entered the meet as the lowest seeded athlete in the 5,000-meter run, before racing to a fifth place finish and his first career All-America honor for ONU ... Northern was selected to finish third in the Ohio Athletic Conference standings in the preseason coaches poll.
