Senior Robbie Brinkman breaks school record, leads Men's Indoor Track & Field at Polar Bear Last Chance Qualifier

ADA — Senior Robbie Brinkman broke his own school record in the 60-meter hurdles to lead Ohio Northern at the non-scoring Polar Bear Last Chance Qualifier meet Friday-Saturday at the ONU Sports Center Fieldhouse.
Brinkman finished second in the race in 8.58 seconds, beating his previous record of 8.62 seconds by .04 of a second.
Seniors Jojuan Fisher and Denorris Turner finished third and fifth in the 60-meter dash in :07.09 and :07.14, respectively.
Turner and senior Christian Rupe also posted top-5 finishes in the 200. Rupe was fourth in :22.68 and Turner was fifth in :23.44.
Senior Dan Sowa finished fourth in the 800 run in 1:59.90.
Sophomore Matt Molinaro was fifth in the 400 in :50.74.
The Polar Bears will now wait to see if any athletes get selected to compete in the NCAA III Championships Friday-Saturday at Grinnell, Iowa.
