Men's Track & Field record four top finishes at Kenyon Spring Invitational
GAMBIER — The Ohio Northern men's track & field team registered four top-spot finishes Saturday afternoon at the Kenyon Spring Invitational.
Junior Jacob Schwab (Willard/Monroeville) took first in the 400-meter dash in 48.65; senior Evan Heyman (Norwalk/Monroeville)followed up behind him in second place in 49.67.
Also tallying a first-place finish was senior Travis Isenberg (Kingsville/Edgewood) in the 800-meter run in 1:59.20, while seniorGarrett Brown (Atwater/Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy) took the tape in the 400-meter hurdles in 55.20.
Sophomore Jojo Entsuah (South Lebanon/Kings) earned the top spot in the hammer throw, tossing at a distance of 37.84 meters.
Junior Jarrod Stevens (Rochester, N.Y./Pittsford) registered a distance of 5.95 meters in the long jump for a second place finish. He also took second in the triple jump at 12.03 meters.
Senior Jason Aukerman finished third in the hammer throw at 35.27 meters while also taking third in the javelin throw at 41.18 meters.
Senior Tim Polack (Medina) earned two third-place finishes during the day. He finished the 110-meter hurdles in 16.42 and the high jump, clearing a height of 1.82 meters.
Freshman Tyler Borton (Clarksville/Clinton Massie) cleared a height of 3.97 meters in the pole vault, earning him a third place finish.
The Polar Bears compete at the Ohio Athletic Conference championships next weekend at Mount Union. The first event is slated for a 6 p.m. start on Friday and 11 a.m. Saturday in Alliance.
