ALLIANCE — The Ohio Northern men's tennis team grabbed its fourth consecutive Ohio Athletic Conference Regular Season title outright with a 7-0 victory at Mount Union indoors on Friday afternoon.

  • Schultz and Wood won 6-0 at No. 2 doubles.
  • Junior Aaron Davis (Tipp City/Tippecanoe) and sophomore Kosuke Asada (Findlay) won 6-3 at No. 3 doubles.

Notables

  • The Polar Bears have now won or shared 13 OAC Regular Season titles since the league began its current round-robin regular season schedule format to select the regular season title in 2000.
  • ONU leads the series between the two schools by a 1-0 margin.
  • The NCAA had adopted a 7-point team scoring system for Division III, where the three doubles contests only count for one team point as is used in NCAA Divisions I and II.
