ADA – Ohio Northern senior Peyton Specht (Munster, Ind.) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week for the week of April 7-13.
The recognition comes after winning 6-4, 7-5 at No. 1 singles and 7-6(4) at No. 1 doubles in a 7-0 victory over John Carroll on Sunday.
Specht is tied for the team lead with 10 doubles wins this season.
Specht is 116-80 overall in his career, which includes a 54-42 singles mark and a 62-36 doubles record.
He needs just one more victory to move into the top 10 in ONU history.
This is Specht's second time this season and the seventh time in his career that he has received this honor.
The Polar Bears (7-7 overall, 1-0 OAC) return to action on Tuesday with a road match at Otterbein.
