Men’s Tennis picked as conference favorite in 2023 OAC Coaches Poll

ADA — The defending Ohio Athletic Conference champion Ohio Northern men's tennis team was picked as the favorite in the league for 2023 in voting conducted by the league's seven head coaches.
Northern received 35 points and five first-place votes in the poll.
John Carroll was picked to finish second with 29 points, and Otterbein was picked to finish third with 28 points and two first-place votes.
The Polar Bears, under first-year head coach Sean Swisher, went 1-1 in the fall portion of their 2022-23 schedule and are coming off a 2021-22 season in which they recorded a program-record 23 victories and won both the OAC regular season and tournament championships en route to advancing to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
Northern opens the spring portion of its schedule on Feb. 19 at NCAA Division II Findlay.
