Men's Tennis ranked No. 20 in ITA Central Regional rankings

ADA — The Ohio Northern men's tennis team is ranked No. 20 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Division III Men's Central Region rankings.

It marks the first Regional ranking appearance for Northern since the 2014 season.

"We are excited to have built our program back to this level," ONU head coach Mike Bonnell said. "We have beefed up our schedule in hope of regional recognition."

The ranking puts ONU fifth in the state of Ohio and is the only Ohio Athletic Conference school to appear in the rankings. Three of the top four teams in the nation (No. 1 Case Western Reserve, No. 2 Chicago and No. 4 Washington-Saint Louis) are in the Central Region.

The Polar Bears (13-4 overall) will return to action on Saturday when they host Capital at the West Campus Tennis Courts.
