LIMA -- The Ohio Northern men's tennis team dropped an 8-1 decision to non-conference foe Earlham (Ind.) on Wednesday evening at Westwood Tennis and Fitness Center.

The Polar Bears fall to 7-5 overall, while the Quakers improve to 12-3.

The No. 1 doubles team of freshmen Vinh Thai (Galloway/St. Charles) and Hoang Do (Powell/Olentangy Liberty) posted a solid 8-5 victory to account for Ohio Northern's point in the match.

Junior Jake Abbott (Kenton) and sophomore Connor Christian (Gallipolis/Gallia) rallied from a 7-4 deficit withy four straight games to take an 8-7 lead at No. 2 doubles before succumbing 9-8(5) in a tiebreaker.

The Polar Bears will return to Ohio Athletic Conference action on April 7 with a 1 pm match at Mount Union.
