Freshman Vinh Thai leads Men's Tennis at Oberlin Invitational

OBERLIN — Freshman Vinh Thai (Galloway/St. Charles) posted a 3-0 singles record to lead the Ohio Northern men's tennis team at the Oberlin Tournament Saturday and Sunday at Hunsinger Courts.

Thai also combined with freshman Hoang Do (Powell/Olentangy Liberty) to go 2-1 in doubles, giving Thai a team-best 5-1 record on the weekend.

Junior Jake Abbott (Kenton), Sophomore Andrew Garcia (Downers Grove, Ill./South) and freshman Drew Sarno (Elida) each went 3-3 on the weekend.

Overall, ONU went 13-16 in singles and 6-9 in doubles action.

The Polar Bears will wrap up their Fall schedule Sept. 29-Oct. 1 with the ITA Regionals at Kalamazoo.
