UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS — Junior John Mostowy led the Ohio Northern men's tennis team in a 9-0 loss at John Carroll at the JCU Tennis Courts Tuesday afternoon.
The Polar Bears fall to 6-8 overall and 3-3 in Ohio Athletic Conference, while John Carroll improves its record to 6-1, 5-1.
Mostowy captured game two at No. 1 singles 6-4, but eventually fell 10-7 in the tiebreaker to lead the Polar Bears.
Northern fell just short at No. 2 and No. 3 singles as senior Alex Prewitt and sophomore Alex Starr were edged 6-4, 6-4 respectively.
The Polar Bears will return to the court Saturday as they play host to OAC foe Capital in the final regular-season match of the year at 1 pm.
