Six Polar Bears named to College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team for Men's Soccer

ADA — Six Ohio Northern student-athletes were named to the College Sports Communicators NCAA Division III Academic All-District Men's Soccer Team for the 2025 season.
Fifth year senior Tanner Locke (Canton, Mich./Salem), senior Gage Foster (Mason), junior Colin Gottron (Centerville), sophomores Chase Robinson (Blacklick/Gahanna), Johnny Roussakis (Lenox, Ill./Lincoln-Way Central) and Landon Miller (Centerville) were each named Academic All-District.
This marks the first career CSC Academic All-District accolade for all six student-athletes.
Locke, a marketing and sport management double major, was named First Team All-Ohio Athletic Conference this season and is a two-time Academic All-OAC honoree.
He had seven points off two goals and three assists on the season.
In his career, Locke has played in 72 matches with 66 starts and has 22 points off five goals and 12 assists.
Foster was named the OAC Midfielder of the Year this season and is now a two-time All-Conference selection. He is also a two-time Academic All-OAC honoree.
This season, the mechanical engineering major had 14 points off three goals and a team-high eight assists.
Foster ends his career with 35 points off nine goals and 17 assists in 62 matches.
Gottron earned Second Team All-Conference accolades this season and was named Academic All-OAC in 2024.
He led the team this season with 19 points off seven goals and five assists.
In three years at ONU, the biochemistry major has played in 55 matches with 44 starts and has 44 points off 15 goals and 14 assists.
Robinson, a general sciences major, had 13 points on five goals and three assists this season.
In 41 career matches, Robinson has 23 points off nine goals and five assists.
Roussakis started in all 19 games this season and had two goals for four points.
The accounting and finance double major has played in 39 career matches with 30 starts and has six points off two goals and two assists.
Miller, a biochemistry major, had seven points off three goals and one assist on the season.
The CSC Academic All-District Teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
Academic All-District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot.
First, Second and Third Team Academic All-America honorees will be announced on Dec. 16.
The Polar Bears had their first undefeated season in ONU history and won their 10th OAC Regular Season title with a 12-0-7 overall record and 6-0-2 OAC record under seventh-year head coach Chris Matejka.
