Two goals and two assists from Armstrong lead No. 24 Men's Soccer to 4-1 win over Mount Union to advance to OAC Tournament Finals

ADA — Two goals and two assists from freshman Miles Armstrong (Marysville) led the No. 24-ranked Ohio Northern men's soccer team to a 4-1 win over Mount Union on Thursday evening to advance to the Ohio Athletic Tournament Finals.

- Armstrong scored his first goal in the fourth minute with assists from junior Aidan McMahon (Naperville, Ill./North) and sophomore Wil Baker (Hilliard/Davidson).
- Mount Union scored in the 41st minute, just a minute after receiving a red card to put them down a player.
- Armstrong scored again in the 50th minute off assists from senior Gage Foster (Mason) and junior Colin Gottron (Centerville) to go up 2-1.
- In the 61st minute, Gottron scored off assists from Armstrong and sophomore Chase Robinson (Blacklick/Gahanna) to take a 3-1 lead.
- McMahon scored just 43 seconds later with another assist from Armstrong and a second assist from Foster.
- Sophomore goalkeeper Carson Zurmehly (Batavia/McNicholas) had two saves in goal for ONU.
- ONU out-shot MTU 23-7 and had a 9-4 advantage in corner kicks.
