Foster, Locke headline list of 6 Polar Bears named All-OAC in Men's Soccer for 2025

ADA — Ohio Northern Senior Gage Foster (Mason) was named Ohio Athletic Conference Midfielder of the Year and fifth-year senior Tanner Locke (Canton, Mich./Salem) was named First Team All-Ohio Athletic Conference to lead a list of six Polar Bears earning All-OAC honors in men's soccer for the 2025 season.
Junior Colin Gottron (Centerville), sophomore Carson Zurmehly (Batavia/McNicholas) and freshmen Miles Armstrong (Marysville) and Carson McGovern (Beavercreek) all earned Second Team All-OAC accolades.
Foster is now a two-time All-OAC selection after being named Third Team All-OAC last season.
Foster has started in all 18 matches this season and is third on the team with 14 points off three goals and a team-high eight assists. He ranks tied for second in the OAC in assists and fourth with 53 total shots.
In 61 career matches at ONU, Foster has 35 points off nine goals and 17 assists.
Locke, Gottron, Zurmehly, Armstrong and McGovern are all first-time All-OAC honorees.
Locke played in all 18 matches this season with 16 starts and had seven points off two goals and three assists.
Locke has appeared in 71 career matches with 65 starts and has 22 points off five goals and 12 assists.
Gottron leads the team this season with 19 points off seven goals and five assists. He also has a team-best 66 shots and 32 shots on goal. He is tied for the lead in the OAC with four game-winning goals, is second in shots and third in shots on goal.
In three years at ONU, Gottron has played in 54 matches with 43 starts and has 44 points off 15 goals and 14 assists.
Zurmehly has started all 18 games in goal this season. He leads the OAC this season in shutouts (9), GAA (.720), and save percentage (.787) and ranks tied for fifth in total saves (46).
He ranks tied for 8th all-time at ONU with 10 career shutouts and tied for 9th in single-season shutouts with nine this season.
Zurmehly has appeared in 25 career matches with 24 starts in goal and 67 saves.
Armstrong has played in 17 matches this season with 14 starts. He is second on the team with 17 points off six goals and five assists. He ranks third on the team and tied for fifth in the OAC with 50 total shots.
McGovern has started in all 18 matches this season and has five points off two goals and one assist.
The No. 24-ranked Polar Bears (12-0-6 overall, 6-0-2 OAC) posted the first undefeated regular season in program history this season. They also clinched the OAC Regular Season title along with the No. 1 seed in the OAC Tournament.
ONU returns to action on Sunday when they host Otterbein in the OAC Tournament Finals at Kerscher Stadium at 1 p.m.
