ADA — Ohio Northern fifth-year senior Levi King (Indianapolis, Ind./North Central) was named to the NCAA Division III Men's Scholar All-American First Team by United Soccer Coaches.
A midfielder, King was one of 13 First Team selections. The pharmacy major boasts a 3.51 GPA.
King has had a highly decorated season, as this latest recognition comes on top of a bevy of other honors he has earned in 2022.
He was also selected to the United Soccer Coaches All-Region VII First Team after being named to the All-OAC First Team as the conference's Midfielder of the Year for the second straight season. The All-Ohio First Team and Academic All-Ohio First Team honoree was selected as the OAC Offensive Player of the Week on Oct. 17 and was later named to the OAC All-Tournament Team.
King recorded at least one point in all nine of ONU's conference games this season and finished with 22 points on seven goals and eight assists. Those totals ranked tied for fourth, tied for sixth and tied for second, respectively, in the OAC. King has started 94 of his 95 career games at ONU and ranks sixth all-time in points (107) and assists (29) and seventh in goals (39).
The Polar Bears finished the 2022 season 13-4-5 overall and won the OAC regular season championship with an 8-0-1 mark in conference play. They earned an at-large berth to the NCAA Tournament and advanced to the third round before falling to Williams (Mass.).
