Men's Soccer receives votes in fifth United Soccer Coaches poll

ADA — The Ohio Northern men's soccer team received votes in the fifth United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III Top 25 Poll of the 2022 season, which was released on Tuesday.
Northern is listed fourth among teams in the "Also receiving votes" category, putting the Polar Bears at No. 29 in the poll.
Chicago (Ill.) is the top-ranked team in the poll.
Messiah (Pa.), Kenyon, Stevens Institute of Technology (N.J.) and Johns Hopkins (Md.) round out the top five.
Additionally, ONU is ranked No. 3 in the fifth United Soccer Coaches Region VII poll of the season, trailing Kenyon and Carnegie Mellon (Pa.), the latter of which is ranked No. 14 nationally.
Northern faced Kenyon and Carnegie Mellon earlier this season, falling 6-2 to the former and tying 1-1 with the latter.
ONU also received seven voting points in the D3soccer.com Top 25 poll for Week 6, which was released on Tuesday.
The Polar Bears (7-2-3 overall) are currently riding a nine-game unbeaten streak and are coming off Saturday's 4-3 win over Capital.
Northern returns to action on Wednesday at home against Heidelberg at 7 p.m.
