Women tabbed as preseason favorites, Men picked third in OAC Soccer preseason coaches polls

ADA – The Ohio Northern women's soccer team was tabbed as the preseason favorites to win the league and the men's soccer team has been picked to finish third in the Ohio Athletic Conference in polls conducted by the league's 10 coaches.
The Polar Bears received 78 points and six first place vote in the women's poll.
Otterbein was picked to finish second with 72 points and two first place votes and Capital was picked third with 69 points and two first place votes.
The ONU men received 65 points. John Carroll was picked to win the league with 81 points and nine first place votes, Marietta was picked second with 70 points and one first place vote and Wilmington was picked fourth with 57 points.
The Polar Bear women will open their 2021 season on Sept. 1 when they host Wittenberg at Kerscher Stadium under 18th-year head coach Mark Batman.
Northern's men's team will open its schedule on Sept. 3 at Calvin (Mich.) under third-year head coach Chris Matejka.
