Junior David Janusz named OAC Men's Soccer Player of the Week

ADA — Ohio Northern junior David Janusz has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 5-11.

Janusz led the Polar Bears (11-3 overall, 3-0 OAC) to a 2-0 week, helping ONU defeat Wilmington 5-2 and Mount Union 1-0.

The junior posted a team-high seven points scoring three goals and recording one assist on the week.

In the 1-0 victory over Mount Union, Janusz scored the games only goal in the 18th minute to propel ONU past the Purple Raiders.

He also recorded two goals and one assist to lead ONU past Wilmington 5-2.

Ohio Northern returns to action Wednesday as they welcome Otterbein to Kerscher Stadium at 7 pm.
