Junior Matt Kinkopf named OAC Men's Soccer Player of the Week

ADA — Ohio Northern junior Matt Kinkopf has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Player of the Week for the second time this season.

Kinkopf led the Polar Bears (7-3 overall) to a 2-0 week, helping ONU defeat Defiance 5-1 and Anderson (Ind.) 5-1.

The junior recorded his second hat trick of the year in the victory over Defiance, while also adding one assist.

Kinkopf also scored two goals and recorded one assist in the victory over Anderson (Ind.).

He currently leads the OAC in points (23), goals (9) and shots (36).

Ohio Northern returns to action Tuesday as they travel to North Manchester (Ind.) to take on the Spartans of Manchester University.
