Men's Soccer ranked No. 12 in second weekly NSCAA poll
ADA — The Ohio Northern men's soccer team is ranked No. 12 in the second weekly 2012 Continental Tire/NSCAA Men's Division III poll in voting conducted by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Tuesday.
The Polar Bears (4-1-0) were ranked No. 4 in the first poll last week, were ranked No. 12 in the 2012 preseason poll and were No. 11 in the final 2011 NSCAA poll.
ONU has now been nationally ranked in four of the past five seasons.
Trinity (Tex.) is ranked No. 1, St. Lawrence (N.Y.) is second and Amherst (Mass.) is third.
Last week, Northern traveled to Anderson (Ind.) and came away with a 3-0 victory on Tuesday. Northern hosted its annual ONU Invitational and finished with a 1-1-0 record. The Polar Bears had a 5-1 victory over Defiance and lost 3-2 to then-No. 13 Carnegie Mellon (Pa.).
The Polar Bears will return to action Tuesday with a 7pm match at Wittenberg.
