ADRIAN (Mich.) — The Ohio Northern men's lacrosse team earned a 14-8 victory at Adrian (Mich.) on a warm Wednesday afternoon.
The Basics

The Game
- Senior Mark Mintzlaff (St. Louis, Mo./Country Day) and freshman Ben Gridley (New Hudson, Mich./South Lyon) each had 3-goal hat tricks to lead ONU.
- Senior Nathan Flynn (Springboro) and freshman Landon Laney (Durham, N.C./Westtown) added a goal and two assists in the contest.
- The Orange and Black began the game on a 4-0 run to grab an early lead.
- The Polar Bear defense held the Bulldogs scoreless in the second period and added three more goals to give ONU an 8-2 lead going into halftime.
- Sophomore Jack Chaney (Westerville/South) and Gridley each scored to end the third period, giving Northern a 11-5 lead.
- Chaney would add two goals as well for ONU.
- Sophomore Peyton Lich (Palmyra, N.Y./Macedon) earned the win and recorded seven saves in goal for Ohio Northern.
- ONU out-shot AC 51-32 but AC had the ground ball advantage 23-22.

- Junior Colin Willits (West Chester/Lakota West) ranks 4th all-time in career goals with 97.
