Junior Alex Bergeron named Honorable Mention All-America by USA Lacrosse

ADA — Ohio Northern junior defender Alex Bergeron (Grafton, Mass.) was named Honorable Mention All-America in men's lacrosse for 2025 by USA Lacrosse.
Bergeron exploded onto the scene in his first season in the starting lineup this spring, earning First Team All-Ohio Athletic Conference honors and anchoring one of the nation's top defensive units.
He finished the season with five points on three goals and two assists to go with 45 ground balls and 26 caused turnovers.
Bergeron had a career-high four ground balls on different occasions and a career-best four caused turnovers twice.
He becomes the first Polar Bear to be named Honorable Mention All-America by USA Lacrosse and the second ONU player to earn the award in all, after fifth-year senior Alex Reimer was honored by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association in 2024.
Ohio Northern finished the 2025 campaign with a 16-5 overall record, finished second in the OAC with an 8-1 mark, won the OAC Tournament title and advanced to the Second Round of the NCAA III Tournament under 10th-year head coach Nat St. Laurent.
The Polar Bears finished the 2025 season ranked third nationally on defense, allowing only an average of 7.38 goals per game.
