Junior Alex Pizarro named Men's Lacrosse OAC Defensive Player of the Week

ADA — Junior Alex Pizarro (Boonsboro, Md.) has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week for the the week of Apr. 30.

Pizarro, now a 3-time OAC Defensive Player of the Week honoree, earned the award after helping ONU to a 2-0 week to end the regular season.

The junior goalkeeper with sensational in the goal this week, helping ONU to its first trip to the OAC Tournament in school history.

Pizarro was terrific in goal with 21 saves and a .525 save percentage in two victories as the Polar Bears won a share of the OAC Regular Season title in just their 3rd year as a program.

The Polar Bears will be the No. 2 seed in this week's OAC Tournament and will host Baldwin Wallace at Dial-Roberson Stadium on Wednesday evening at 7 p.m.
