Miles leads Men's Golf to second place finish at Heidelberg Snowballs Chance in spring season opener

TIFFIN — The Ohio Northern men's golf team opened its spring season at the Heidelberg Snowballs Chance tournament Sunday and Monday.
The Basics
- Ohio Northern finished 2nd of 4 teams with a 319-317—636.
- ONU Season Record: 63-15.
- Heidelberg won the team title with a 309-314—623, Tiffin was third with a 329-310—639 and Bluffton was fourth with a 335-324—659.

Tournament Recap
- Sophomore Noah Miles (Findlay) led the Polar Bears with a 76-76—152 to finish second out of 48 golfers on the par-72, 6810-yard course.
- Senior Evan Dennison (Ashland/Mapleton) tied for third with a 79-75—154.
- Freshman Alex Diesel (Cincinnati/Colerain) tied tied for 12th with a 77-84—161.
Notables
- This was the first of seven regular season tournaments scheduled for this spring before the OAC Championships on April 24-26.
- Miles' 152 was his career-best at ONU for 36 holes.
- ONU head coach Chad Bucci is 490-418-16 in his 13th season at the helm of the men's program, a winning percentage of .539.
