Junior Aashir Patel and freshman Sam Cramer named Co-OAC Men's Golfers of the Week

ADA — Junior Aashir Patel (Schaumburg, Ill./Conant) and freshman Sam Cramer (Plain City/Alder) were named Co-Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Golfers of the Week for the week of Oct. 20-26.

This is Patel's fourth career Golfer of the Week accolade and fourth this season. Cramer is receiving his first career Golfer of the Week honor.

The recognition comes after Patel and Cramer both led the Polar Bears by tying for 24th place with 9-over par 225s at the Berry (Ga.) Chick-Fil-A Invitational on Oct. 20-21.

ONU finished 7th of 17 teams at 35-over par 306-291-302—899.

Patel currently leads the team with a 71.9 stroke average for 12 rounds.

Cramer ranks 5th on the team with a 74.1 stroke average for 13 rounds.

The Polar Bears (50-13 Overall) will wrap up their fall season Nov. 3 when they host the Polar Bear Classic at the Traditions G.C. in Hebron, Ky.
