Junior Aashir Patel named Co-OAC Men's Golfer of the Week

ADA — Junior Aashir Patel (Schaumburg, Ill./Conant) was named the Co-Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Golf Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 8-14.

Patel earns the honor after placing second of 55 golfers at the Trine (Ind.) Venturi Invitational on Tuesday with an impressive four-under par 67.

ONU finished second of four teams at the Invitational.

Patel currently leads the team with a 68.5 stroke average for two rounds.

The Polar Bears will return to action Oct. 4-5 at the Bluffton Beaver Fall Invitational.
