Christy, DeSimone named NCAA Division III Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars

ADA — Ohio Northern juniors Bennett Christy (Plymouth, Ind./Plymouth) and Joey DeSimone (Munroe Falls/Stow-Munroe Falls) were named 2024-25 NCAA Division III Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars by the Golf Coaches Association of America.
To be eligible, an individual must be a sophomore, junior or senior both academically and athletically, must participate in 50% of their team's competitive rounds, have a stroke average under 79.0 in NCAA Division III and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade point average of 3.2. They must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at their college or university.
201 NCAA Division III athletes from 77 schools earned 2024-25 Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar honors.
Christy is a two-time Academic All-OAC honoree and one-time Academic All-District selection and All-OAC honree.
This season, he was fourth on the team with a 77.5 average. In three years at ONU, he has a career average of 77.6.
DeSimone earned All-OAC honors this season after finishing 13th at the 2025 OAC Championships with a 10-over par 74-78-72—224.
He was third on the team this season with a 77.4 average. After three years at ONU, he has a career average of 78.4.
