Men's Golf defeats Olivet (Mich.) 313-351 in windy dual match

HARROD — The Ohio Northern men's golf team defeated Olivet (Mich.) 313-351 in a dual match on a warm and windy Thursday afternoon at Colonial Golfers Club.
The Polar Bears (25-27-4 overall) had four players score in the 70s despite the heavy winds, which gusted to more than 30 mph throughout the day.
ONU freshman Andrew Briars (Maumee/Anthony Wayne) won Medalist honors with a 5-over par 77 on the par-72, 6886-yard course.
Freshman Adam Trigg-Holdman (Cincinnati/Roger Bacon)was second with a 78, senior Austin White (Harrisburg, Pa./Susquehanna Township) and junior Dylan Morris (Bellevue/Margaretta) tied for fourth with 79s and senior Jared Hernandez (Van Wert) was fifth with an 82.
The Polar Bears will return to action on Friday when they host the Polar Bear Easter Classic at Colonial Golfers Club.
