Men's Golf in ninth place after first day of OAC Fall Preview

HINCKLEY — Junior Nick Anderson (Mason) shot a 5-over par 77 to lead the Ohio Northern men's golf team on the first day of the OAC Fall Preview on Sunday at Pine Hills Golf Club.

The Polar Bears (8-18 overall) are ninth of nine teams after the first 18 holes with a 324.

Anderson is tied for 16th out of 63 golfers on the par-72, 6748-yard course.

Senior Zach Goodchild (Pickerington/North) is tied for 25th with a 79, freshman Brant Morton (Findlay/Van Buren) is tied for 39th with an 83 and sophomore Ryan Tatman (West Chester/Lakota East) is tied for 45th with an 85.

Otterbein holds the first round lead with a 289, Capital is second at 303 and John Carroll is third with a 304.

The final round will be on Monday with tee times beginning at 9:30 am.
