Men's Golf split-squad finishes 6th at season-opening Tiffin Invitational

TIFFIN — The Ohio Northern men's golf team opened its 2014-15 season at the Tiffin Invitational at the Mohawk Golf Club.
The Polar Bears sent a split squad to the tournament and finished sixth of six teams with a 326.
Sophomore Blaine Ricketts and freshman Zach Goodchild tied for 16th with 3-over par 75s to lead Ohio Northern.
Sophomore Tyler Davis and freshman Tim Monroe tied for 36th with 81s on the par-72, 6,685-yard course.
Tiffin won the tournament with an 8-under par 280, Findlay was second with a 298 and Ashland was third with a 299.
Tiffin's Brett Green won Medalist honors with a 6-under par 76.
The Polar Bears will return to action on Monday when the full squad will compete at the 36-hole Wittenberg Invitational.
