Men's Bowling finishes record-breaking season as league runner-up as Couch, Iles, Lippencott earn Ohio Bowling Conference honors for 2025-26 campaign
ADA — Three Ohio Northern men's bowlers earned Ohio Bowling Conference honors for the 2025-26 season.
Sophomore Zander Crouch (DeGraff/Riverside) earned All-Conference honors. He is the first Polar Bear in school history to receive the honor.
Crouch was named First Team All-OBC by finishing the three OBC tournaments with the fourth-highest average, a 217.88 for nine games.
He also had the high series in the league with a school-record 754.
Freshmen Tanner Iles (Cincinnati/Oak Hills) and Casey Lippencott (Dayton/Centerville) were named to the All-Freshman Team as two of the top five freshmen in the league. They are also the forst ONU athletes to earn this award.
Iles finished fourth in the OBC among freshmen that bowled at least six games minimum across the three tournaments with an average of 207 for seven games.
Lippencott had the fifth-highest average among freshmen with a 204.33 average.
The Polar Bears finished second in the league across the four tournaments with 14 points.
Muskingum won the league title with 10 points, Robert Morris was third with 15, Northwestern Ohio was fourth with 24, Thomas More (Ky.) was fifth with 25 and Akron was sixth with 30.
The Polar Bears will now wait until Wednesday night to find out where they are headed for the ITC Sectional Qualifier in March.
The top 80 teams qualify for one of four sectional qualifiers across the country.
Ohio Northern finished 17th of 20 teams at the sectionals a year ago in Allen Park, Mich.
